When you are working on the construction site, then you are needed to use the heavy construction equipment that will help you in fast working. The tools which are used in the construction are specially designed to carry heavy loads. 

However, machines such as JCB, Volvo, excavators, bulldozers and many more are used on construction sites to make the work easier. The owner decide which machine can be used based on the load they have to carry. 

These are mainly used in sites where buildings, malls, and similar things are constructed. People use varieties of this equipment according to their needs. Let’s take a detailed look at varieties of them. 

Backhoe

This is a widely used machine in construction sites, which can be used to perform various tasks. It carries the hoe on the backside of the vehicle & the loading bucket in the front. This is useful for burrow channels below the machine level, and using the front bucket, loading, unloading and lifting materials can be done.

• Excavators

Excavators are vital & the most used equipment when talking about the construction industry. They are used for lifting, cutting the trees, digging the ground or river, etc. A long arm and a cabinet can be found on these. Long arm digging has a bucket attached to the end, and the operator’s workspace is in a cabinet.

The ability to rotate the entire cabin layout across 360 degrees makes operating easier. Both tracked and wheeled trucks are offered for excavators.

• Bulldozers

These machines are used to remove the top layer of the Soil to its depth. It has a sharp edge white metal plate in front, which helps remove Soil. Hydraulic pistons can be used to raise and lower this plate. These are frequently used for lifting dirt, removing weak Soil or rock strata, etc.

• Dragline Excavators

Another heavy construction equipment, dragline excavators, is typically utilized for deeper excavations. It comprises a long boom, and a cable is used to suspend the digging bucket from the top of the boom. Dragline excavators can be used for port building, silt removal from water bodies, etc.

• Trenchers

The machines are used in construction sites for removing the excavated trenches in Soil. They are used primarily for drainage purposes, cable lying and many others. 

Trenchers are available in two machines: a chain and a wheeled trencher. 

The chain trencher contains a fixed arm around which the digging chain is given. On the other hand, a wheeled trencher has a metal wheel with a digging tool around it.

If the construction is happening on the hard Soil, it will be easier to work with the wheeled trencher. However, it will give the best result compared to chain trencher. But these are also used for various other purposes. 

• Graders

It is typically known as motor graders. These are used to maintain the level of Soil, mainly used in construction areas to maintain the ground level. The horizontal blade is available in the front & rear wheels, which are lowered to the ground. 

You can see these graders in snowy areas, as these are used to remove the snow from the surface to make a clear path. 

• Loaders

The loaders are another construction equipment used to load the material to the trucks. Materials such as Soil, raw materials and others. This contains the bucket in front of it, which is used to carry the heavy material and put it into the truck. 

This also has two types in it, the wheeled and tracked. Both are used in sites, but one is a plain area, and the other is a rough area where the wheeled loaders cannot reach. 

• Tower cranes

Tower cranes are fixed cranes which are used in the construction of tall structures. This can lift heavy materials like steel trusses, frames etc. They have a mast, the vertical supporting tower, a Jib, which works as the operating arm of the crane, a counterweight on the rear side, and an operator cabin from which the crane can be operated.
